Christmas Questionnaire...
I've read this on a few other blogs - decided to post my answers.. I challenge you to do the same. Post your answers in my comments!
Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate - Hot Chocolate for sure.. eggs shouldn't be mixed with milk. For some reason I think that you should pour egg nog into a hot frying pan and make Scrambled Eggs with it.. it's unreal! Justin likes it though - my mom buys it for him every year at Christmas time. He's the only one who likes it!
Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? - Santa NEVER wrapped any presents for us when we were kids.. they were always on our "side" of the tree.. stockings were never wrapped either..
Do You Hang Mistletoe - Yup.. It's plastic, but if I have a chance at getting a kiss, I'm up for it! LOL
When do You Put Decorations Up - Outside ones usually the weekend before the 1st of Dec. This year it was 2 weekends before the 1st of Dec. Inside ones are going up this weekend! Tree goes up when Christmas Daddies is on - it's a family tradition. My grandmother does it, my mom does it, and now that I have an artificial tree - I do it!
What is Your Fave Holiday Dish (can't be dessert!) - Umm.. it'll have to be my mom's Taco Salad! It's so untraditional that we've made it a tradition to have it with Christmas dinner!!
Fave Christmas Gift - I don't know.. I'm hoping I'll get it this Christmas!! *hint hint* (he doesn't read this - darn!!) LOL.. all Christmas presents are my favorite!!!
When and How did you learn the truth about Santa - It couldn't have been that traumatic.. I don't remember!
Do You OPen a Gift on Christmas Eve - Yup - one at home, one at my grandmothers!!
How do you Decorate your Tree - With clear lights - this year it's going to be red and gold. It may clash with the Burgandy couch in the living room but I don't care!!
Fave Christmas Memory - The Christmas that I was about 6 or 7.. I still SWEAR that I heard Santa, and the reindeer on the roof! My mom made soot prints out of our fireplace with my dad's workboots to make it look like he had made a mess! And she made such a fuss out of it on Christmas morning, it was so believable.. if you know her, she is a very tidy person, and soot prints on the carpet are a VERY BIG NO NO!! We still talk about it!
The most Important thing about the Holidays - Being with family - and eating! We eat a big meal Christmas Eve, usually 2 on Christmas Day, 2 on Boxing Day, and sometimes even throughout the week somewheres!!
Fave Holiday Dessert - My Grammy's Pistachio Squares, and my Nanny's Cherry Pie (Christmas Morning Breakfast.. mmm )
What tops your Tree - a star for right now, unless Justin and I can decide on an angel! He wants one with fir and that lights up.. lol.. great.. I like the swirly star I bought 2 Christmases ago, but he says that we need an Angel..
Do you prefer giving or recieving - I love buying presents for people, but I also like recieving presents!! Who doesn't??
Fav Christmas Song - The WHOLE Kenny Rogers & Dolly Parton album.. it's in my car's CD player right now, and the one about the Old Shoes.. it's a Country one.. I don't know who sings it. AND... THE TURKEY SONG.."I've been invited for Christmas - as a turkey I am blessed - they're gonna have me for Supper, and I'm going to be their guest".. It's hilarious!!
